*Wind survival is the maximum wind speed to which the antenna can be subjected without incurring permanent deformation (calculated in the absence of ice)
**The Momobeam RF Choke (standard product offering, rated at 3 KW) is made from high quality Teflon dielectric, double shielded, low loss coaxial cable with properly selected ferrite material that is sleeved over the cable that together, create a high impedance path for RF, providing high isolation between the antenna and coaxial feedline.
An SO-239 female connector is included for convenient attachment to the customer feedline and its PL-259 Male connector.
The 5 KW and 10 KW rated RF chokes (optional purchase) are made from the same materials except the coaxial cable is 10 mm diameter.
The 10KW version uses a 7/16 DIN style connector.
Emanuele IW9GDC –
Giuseppe IT9HBT, Owner of MomoBeam assisted me after a storm destroyed my previous antenna and he came highly recommended to me by a close friend. After having a general call with Giuseppe about my requirements, it was clear he was highly competent and an expert in his field. Giuseppe gave me comprehensive advice and guided me on choosing the right antenna for my needs. After much discussion we decided that due to the high winds in my hometown of Messina, we would opt for an antenna that can withstand high wind. After the antenna was custom built, we ran into a challenge not only with shipping due to the size but also challenges with the pandemic and Giuseppe went above and beyond and drove the antenna to my home which was over 350KM. After 3 days assembling the antenna, I could clearly see the high quality of the materials and parts used with the nuts and bolts being made of stainless steel, which will have a long life. A very important feature for my usage is that the antenna has 2 separate feed lines and can be used in SO2R. The antenna was seamless to assemble and when needing any spare parts or pieces for general maintenance , Giuseppe took care of my needs free of charge. The antenna has been in use since August 2020 and has been hit by incredibly strong winds and it is still working perfectly ever since installation. The lobe is wide at 40 MT and in 30MT the antenna gain is outstanding (3 elements full sides). Thanks to the performance in 30MT I was able to work most wanted #2 which was Bouvet 3Y0J! Money well spent because the antenna outperforms what I expected.
