In the frenzy of the modern world, where technology seems to govern every aspect of our lives, a fascinating niche of enthusiasts defy background noise to communicate through radio waves.
The fantastic world of contests has always been at the center of attention for our company. Since its genesis, Momobeam has invested resources, energy, and passion to contribute to the most ambitious challenges.
So, there is great excitement for a new experience in which we participate as a partner under the guidance of the ‘Lagunaria DX group‘ (http://lagunaria-dx-group.org/).
The 4W8X station in Timor-Leste will be built up starting on 05-Nov-2023. The team consists of 20 dedicated and experienced DXers and contesters from Germany, Austria and Poland. They will start operation after setup has finished and will be active for 3 weeks.
The group has sent enough material by sea freight to build up and operate 12 radio setups around the clock, including CQ WW DX CW Contest in the Multi/Multi category – and EME on 50 MHz, 144 MHz, 432 MHz and 1296 MHz. Maybe it’s a bit old-school, but the clear focus is on the classic modes SSB, CW and RTTY.
Momobeam proudly provided two PENTA10 Multiband Yagis and three Monobanders: MONO3 for 20m, MONO4 for 15m and MONO4 for 10m.
More information can be found on the 4W8X website http://www.timor-leste-dx.de
Stay tuned 🙂
